The Jaguaré Caminhos Program Celebrates the Fraternity Campaign

Initiatives inspired by the 2026 Fraternity Campaign strengthen the presence of the charism among the most vulnerable

On April 2 and 10, 2026, the units of the Center for Children and Adolescents (CCA), the Vulnerability Assistance Service (SAV), and the Early Childhood Education Center (CEI) promoted a moment of deep connection with the Mission of the Congregation of Holy Cross in Brazil, in harmony with the call of the 2026 Fraternity Campaign: to recognize and value the presence of God who dwells among us, especially in the most vulnerable contexts.

Inspired by this commitment and the Congregational Charism, the CCA groups presented theater and dance performances depicting the passion, death, and resurrection of Christ, reinforcing values of faith, hope, and transformation, reaffirming the importance of building more humane, fraternal, and supportive relationships.

At SAV and CEI, the religious of Holy Cross—Bro. Ronaldo Almeida, Bro. Severino Borges, Bro. Ginaldo dos Santos, Fr. Rivaldo Oliveira, and postulants—conducted the Foot-Washing rite, in a gesture of humility and humanity that symbolically reenacted the care shown to the twelve disciples, represented by people served who are in situations of extreme social vulnerability.

In light of the Campaign, this action reaffirms the institutional commitment to dignity, hospitality, and love for one’s neighbor, recognizing in each person served the living presence of Christ, who “came to dwell among us.”
