On June 6, more than 100 girls and members of the Meninas em Campo team were at the Neo Química Arena to watch the friendly match between the women’s national teams of Brazil and the United States. Their participation was made possible through a partnership with Guaraná Antarctica, which provided tickets for the group.
For many participants, this was their first time in a soccer stadium. In addition to watching a high-level match, they were able to experience the sporting atmosphere and cheer on the Brazilian Women’s National Team up close.
The initiative is part of the socio-educational activities of Meninas em Campo, which aims to expand opportunities for access to sports and connect girls with inspiring role models in soccer. Experiences like this build confidence, broaden horizons, and demonstrate that women’s soccer is also a space for belonging, representation, and new possibilities.
